The Porsche 911 GT1 Evo was Porsche's late-90s attempt at GT1 racing glory. It never could quite compete with the likes of the McLaren F1 GTR or the Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG GTR, but it's still incredibly cool. Then again, any race car making more than 600 horsepower out of a 3.2-liter twin-turbo flat six is going to be cool.
A few weeks ago, we showed you a video of British Touring Car driver Andrew Jordan flogging a 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Evo at Silverstone. It looked great, sounded even better, and showed perfectly why the GT1 Evo is considered a modern classic. If you love the sound of an awesome wastegate, you have to check it out.
But now has released a followup video, this time having Jordan walk around the car and talk a little more about what made the GT1 Evo as great as it is. You don't get to see much driving, but hearing him talk about the details of the car is still absolutely fascinating.
