Aircooled Porsche 911s seem to get more expensive every day. Many are bought as investment pieces, stored in a heated garage and started once a month so they stay in tip-top shape. These 911s though, are not garage queens. These are flame-spitting Group 4 rally monsters.
Back before Group B rally was a thing, it was Group 4 that dominated the gravel backroads of Europe. Cars like the Lancia Stratos HF and the Ford Escort RS1800 lined the trees with the smell of race gas. As the 1980s rolled around, Group B phased out many of the slower, obsolete rear-wheel-drive rally machines we love, but thankfully, most of them are still out and competing.
Youtuber decided to put together a 13-minute long compilation video of all the Group 4 911s he's seen in the last few years. There's plenty of sliding and flame-shooting to be had.
Oh, and don't forget about that signature Porsche flat-six howl.
