There's something about racing cars going up a road as quickly as possible that gets to people. Maybe it's the crazy aero. Or the smell of pure 100+ octane race gas. Or maybe it's the pops and bangs of the anti-lag systems dumping fuel into the exhaust to keep that turbo spinning. Whatever it is, there's no denying hillclimbs are special.
Where else in the motorsport world do you get to see full-on time-attack monsters fly up a local back road at lightning pace? Nowhere. The cars are all different too. Everything from an all-wheel-drive Audi S1 Prospeed, to an Alfa Romeo 155 DTM car, to even a Ferrari 550 GT1. This kind of variation is unheard of in any other racing.
Youtube channel put together a compilation video of all the hillclimb action it saw this year. It's seventeen minutes of flybys and action shots. If you love motorsport, this is the video to watch.
