Driver Samir Thapar is a wealthy industrialist, and by some accounts, an enthusiastic partier. He has more money than skill. His navigator, Vivek Ponnusamy, is an experienced rally pro and was hired by Thapar, along with a top support crew and a hot Mitsubishi Evo X, to avenge a humiliating loss to a lowly Mahindra SUV in a previous Indian National Championship rally.
