Hennessey's Supercharged Shelby Mustang GT350 R Sounds Seriously Brutal

Thanks to the tuners at Hennessey, this GT350 R makes almost 800 horsepower to the wheels. That's a lot!

Hennessey Performanc

The team at Hennessey Performance just can't seem to stop hot-rodding America's newest muscle cars. They've tuned Hellcats and ZL1s to their absolute limits, and now, they've finally gotten their hands on a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 R. Spoiler alert: it's already making over 800 horsepower.

From the factory, the GT350 makes a respectable 526 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. from its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V8. Clearly, that wasn't enough for the folks at , because they went ahead and threw a supercharger on it.

Hennessey put the forced-induction GT350 R on the dyno to see just how much power it could make, and managed a serious number: 787 horsepower to the wheels. Factoring in an industry-accepted 15-percent drivetrain loss, we're estimating that adds up to roughly 905 horsepower at the crank. We're talking McLaren P1 levels of power here.

Watch for yourself as Hennessey pushes its new GT350 R to the limit. And make sure to check your volume, because this thing is loud.
