The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet needs no introduction. It's a V12-powered, long-wheelbase, ultra-luxury drop-top version of the company's once humble G-Class work truck, built in limited numbers to send off the car before a new generation replaces it next year.
This article has been updated to reflect the car's final sale price.
This particular Laundaulet, painted in white with a tan soft top, was at its Zoute Sale on October 6th. If you couldn't finesse a build spot for the most outrageous G-Class ever (save for the AMG 6x6, of course), this could've been your best chance to get your hands on one.
Like every other G650, this example features a host of extreme luxury appointments expected of any Maybach-badged model, such as a fully-decked out rear seating arrangement, power fold-out steps, and quilted leather everywhere.
The G650 , almost twice as much as it's original starting MSRP of $753,259. It was the most expensive car to sell at the Bonhams Zoute auction, beating out cars such as a Jaguar XJ220 and a Porsche 356A Speedster, which each sold for $457,743.
