New cars must be crash tested in order to be eligible to drive on the road. Everything from economy hatchbacks to million-dollar supercars need to go through the tests. That includes ultra-limited hypercars like the Koenigsegg Regera.
just released a Regera crash testing supercut to celebrate one million followers. It shows Regeras getting hit from the front, back, and side, as well as being smacked by a hammer, and getting driven into curbs at considerable pace. Please, try to overlook the dubstep music and fast cuts.
Though it's tough to watch such a rare and expensive car get wrecked, we can't help but be impressed by the Regera's ability to withstand some of those impacts. That's the genius of Koenigsegg's engineering at work. The 80 Regera owners will surely appreciate the car's durability a bit more after watching this. We're also sure they hope their Regeras are never treated anything like this.
