What's a Truly Fun-to-Drive New Car that Gets 30 MPG or More?

There are plenty out there. Which is your favorite?


Nowadays, manufacturers don't have to sacrifice fun for fuel efficiency. There are a bunch of great-driving new cars on the market right now that get 30 mpg or more. Which one do you like best?

For me, it's the Alfa Romeo Giulia. The base 2.0-liter turbo engine is capable of 33 mpg highway, but remains stout enough to move the rear-wheel drive Italian four-door down the road at a considerable pace. That, combined with the car's looks and handling, make for a joyful driving experience.
