The Mercedes-AMG C63 S is a fine German muscle car. A seemingly normal sedan—or coupe, in this case—with a 503-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 and a ton of chassis upgrades to go along with it. German magazine Sport Auto recently put one on the Nürburgring for a test, and there's video of it for us to enjoy.

With Sport Auto's in-house racer Christian Gebhardt at the wheel, the C63 S Coupe manages a 7:44.13 lap around the Nordschleife. It's about a second quicker than the more powerful, though heavier Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon, though it's a ways off the AMG GT 63 S four-door, which ran a 7:25.4 in the hands of a Mercedes factory driver. The GT 63 S has nearly 130 more horsepower, though.

As far as rivals are concerned, the BMW M3 CS ran a 7:38 at the Nürburgring, while the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio ran a 7:32. Both those were factory-backed runs, however, so don't read too far deeply into the time disparities.

Really, you should just enjoy the video, reveling in the sound of that amazing V-8.
