Sometimes, a certain color matches perfectly to a car's design. Like red on a Ferrari Testarossa, or British Racing Green on a Jaguar D-Type. The same can be said of "Caribbean Pearl," a type of sky blue, and the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. Just look at it. If you're as in love as we are, we have some good news: This car . You should buy it.
Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.
The Zagato was built as a sendoff for the current Vanquish, which is making way for a new mid-engine car that debuted in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Just 99 coupes were built worldwide, making them a rare sight. Like the normal Vanquish, the Zagato sports a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine making 580 horsepower. Thrust gets to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transaxle mounted in the rear. The stunning Caribbean Pearl paint is matched with a machined aluminum grille, blacked-out window surrounds, two-tone multi-spoke wheels, and red brake calipers.
The car has only covered 1109 miles since new, and now with a Buy It Now price of $650,000. That's a lot of money for what's essentially a re-bodied Vanquish, we know, but considering the rarity and the beauty of this car, we'd say that's not totally surprising. The seller claims the car carried an original MSRP of $820,000, to give you some perspective.
