When it was first announced last year, the Rezvani Beast Alpha had a starting price of $200,000. For the 2018 model year, however, Rezvani announced that it will sell a Beast Alpha equipped with a 400-hp 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder for a little under $100,000. That's a huge price decrease, and it makes us wonder how the company pulled it off.
, the price drop is mainly down making many of the Beast Alpha's previously standard features optional. That, unfortunately, includes the Beast's wacky reverse minivan doors, which now are a $10,000 extra. Previously the Beast Alpha also came with carbon fiber body panels, but now those will run you $20,000. As standard, the Beast Alpha's body is made from fiberglass.
Even without the carbon fiber, the Lotus-based Beast Alpha weighs around 2000 lbs. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a six-speed sequential unit with paddle shifters costs $15,000 extra. Rezvani says the Beast Alpha sprints from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, but doesn't specify which transmission was used to achieve this figure.
If you want more power, Rezvani will sell you the for $159,000, which comes with a 525-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Rezvani is taking , if this sort of car strikes your fancy. Ordering a Beast Alpha is a bit of a risky bet with such a new company, but if you think it's worth it, you could have a car that's unlike anything else.
