Ever since we saw the footage of the Apollo Intensa Emozione doing its rounds at the rain-soaked Cremona circuit in Northern Italy, we've been wondering what that 780-horsepower V12 sounds like under higher loads. Thanks to the IE's visit to Hong Kong, we now have the answer.
Apollo's 6.3 liter naturally-aspirated engine is based on the Ferrari F12's V12, but was developed further by Autotecnica Motori. With its custom intake, exhaust and software package, it's good for 780 horsepower at 8500 rpm and 560 foot pounds of torque at 6000 rpm. It also revs all the way to 9000, though somewhat inexplicably the Apollo's digital tach goes to 11. Just in case your burnout-happy feet somehow unlocks the limiter.
