In case you need a reminder the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is fast, has just the thing: a video clip shot from inside a GT3 as it hits 300 km/h (186 mph) on the Autobahn at night.
Porsche took the new GT3 RS to the Nurburgring a few weeks back, where it set a wildly quick 6:56.4 lap time, beating out cars like the 918 Spyder, Aventador SV, and Viper ACR. It's worth noting the GT3 did all this without the assistance of all-wheel drive or forced induction.
Henry Catchpole of Carfection got the opportunity to take a GT3 RS out for a quick spin on a delimited stretch of Germany highway at night, achieving an indicated speed of exactly 300 km/h before running into traffic. Considering all the drag-generating downforce the car has, we'd say that's damn impressive. Give the car enough room, and it'll top out at 193 mph, according to Porsche.
Watch for yourself as Catchpole runs through the gears.
