What's the Best New Car That Still Offers a Manual Transmission?

Manual transmissions aren't as popular as they used to be. But there are still a few new cars out there you can buy with three pedals.

The manual transmission is a dying breed, but that doesn't mean you can no longer buy a great new car with three pedals. There are a bunch of choices out there if you're looking for the manual experience on the showroom floor.

The Lotus Evora 400 is a great example. Our long-termer came with a fantastic six-speed unit that felt amazing and was easy to use. It slotted into every gear perfectly, and because the pedals were set up so nicely, it was easy to heel-toe. The 400 could also be optioned with a six-speed torque converter automatic, but trust us when we say the manual is a much better match to the engine and chassis.
