A camouflaged test mule of what looks to be the upcoming replacement for the BMW Z4 was spotted testing on the Nurburgring recently, giving us a closer look at what BMW's new production roadster could look (and sound) like.
The car shown on video looks similar to a test mule we saw around the same time last year, but there are some clear updates. The headlights stretch slightly longer down the body line, the front lower bumper has more air dividers, and the rear end has ditched the circular taillights for more production-esque items.
Back in August during Pebble Beach, BMW revealed a Z4 Concept with a bunch of new styling elements, many of which are most likely going to end up on the production car.
Also notable in this video is the exhaust note. We can't say for sure if it's a four or six-cylinder engine under the hood. Listen for yourself and let us know what you think below.
