Our spies have just supplied us with a whole bunch of new photos, showing what seems to be a mid-engine C8 Corvette prototype in winter testing. Now we're asking you for help: What do you notice when you look at these cars?
The first thing that strikes us is the rear-end design. Take a close look at the rear window: It looks like the mid-engine 'Vette will get rid of the traditional sloping rear glass in favor of a small vertical window and flying buttresses. That might make it slightly easier to access the mid-mounted engine—and would mimic a similar styling cue used by Ferrari.
Try to peer through the camouflage, and it looks like the new mid-engine 'Vette will use taillights that are identical (or at least, very similar) to those on the current C7 model.
This is the first time we've seen a mid-engine prototype with its headlights on, giving us a better glimpse at the lighting design we might see on this long-awaited model.
