Today, spy-shots of what appear to be a narrow-bodied Dodge Demon test car surfaced on several sites across the web. The car, spotted at a Wendy's drive-thru, has the fascia, hood scoop and wheels from a normal Demon, but lacks the signature widened fenders. What's going on here?
was one of several sites to upload images, including an interior shot that reveals the car's supposed power output: 808 horsepower. Coincidentally, that's as much as the Demon makes on regular 93-octane gas.
, this car is equipped with the Hellcat's standard 275-section width Pirelli P-Zero tires, rather than the Demon's drag radials. If this car does have the Demon's engine, it must be one hell of a burnout machine.
The only question we have on our minds is, why? Could Dodge be planning on offering the Demon motor in a Hellcat body as a cost-effective option? Or is this just another frankenstein test mule that will never see production? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.
