Toyota's TRD Pro line of trucks has been around for a while now, and for 2019, they're getting some welcome upgrades. The 2019 Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner TRD Pro are all getting new Fox Racing shocks that should make them even better off road. And better still, the Tacoma TRD Pro gets an optional snorkel.
The suspension is built around aluminum Fox Racing internal-bypass shocks that progressively stiffen as the suspension compresses. This, Toyota says, gives better performance off-road without sacrificing on-road comfort. In the back, these shocks are aided by remote oil reservoirs for more extreme off-roading situations. All good stuff.[image id='e28560f3-c214-45c9-a35b-e1b2f53df873' mediaId='d50a2cf5-8fee-4116-a4e2-c66ca7fbdef2' align='center' size='medium' share='true' caption='' expand='' crop='original'][/image]
Springs come from TRD and give each truck a little extra ride height over the TRD Off-Road models they're based on. The Tundra TRD Pro also gets some sweet BBS wheels designed to save a little bit of unsprung weight at each corner; each model gets other visual upgrades to set them apart from their lesser siblings.[image id='dece8576-d2bd-4358-8c18-53e5bfef14b6' mediaId='487936e0-446c-48b3-baa6-75cabbf5b1f2' align='center' size='medium' share='true' caption='' expand='' crop='original'][/image]
These trucks make their debut today at the Chicago Auto Show, and they'll go on sale this fall.
