Here's your first look at the long-rumored, recently-confirmed Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat. We can't see much, but we like what we see, and hear: A Jeep Grand Cherokee with a whole lot of supercharger whine, seemingly launching hard enough to break all four tires loose.
It's a very short video, caught by a spy on a smartphone, but it's all the proof we needed:
Rumored to wear the "Trackhawk" badge, which was trademarked in 2014, and , the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee is bound to be capital-R Ridiculous. Jeep told its U.S. dealers that at a private meeting recently, a half-second faster than the current fast-SUV king, the 567-hp BMW X5 M. If there's any way to make the already outrageous 470-hp Grand Cherokee SRT8, shown above, look positively slow, this is it.
Holy horsepower, we can't wait for this thing to come out.
