If you thought Chevrolet was basically insane to introduce the plug-in, all-electric Chevy Bolt on the heels of the redesigned, plug-in, not-quite-all-electric Chevy Volt, well, you had company.
Many of us in the peanut gallery thought the names were too similar and would lead to confusion. General Motors says otherwise, though. Any thoughts that the automaker might change the Bolt's name to eliminate the sound-alike scenario with the Volt have been dashed by Chevrolet marketing chief Tim Mahoney.
