The McLaren 675LT Spider configurator is live and now you can option out your own. We reported the starting price to settle at $372,600, so for that amount of money, let's see how many options we can cram into one car.
First of all, I don't think the 675LT Spider can come in a bad color, but for my purposes, I went with the dark Aurora Blue. Apparently, it's "special." For wheels, brakes, and tires, I went with the Ultra-Lightweight Forged 10 Spoke in Stealth, flat-gray painted calipers, with a set of Pirelli P Zeros.
There are also a plethora of carbon fiber accents you can add to the body. Who am I kidding? I'm designing my dream 675LT Spider—so I said yes to carbon fiber wherever I could put it, which included the mirrors, rear bumper, lower side intake, side intakes, and the wheel arches.
For the interior trim, I went with the Alcantara and leather option, which came with green embossed detailing that wound around the cockpit like a tree snake. Did I go with the optional orange seat belts? Of course I did. Do they clash with everything else? They sure do! Ask me if I care.
So, here it is. I wasn't able to get an MSRP quote on the car, but I'm sure the cost of my version is quite a bit loftier than the starting price. The 675LT Spider will go one sale next summer, so I'll be keeping my eye out for an Aurora Blue one.
