Italian coachbuilder Zagato has blessed the world with dozens of stunning car designs. Some are more well known than others, but the less famous projects are still worth celebrating. This car, the Ferrari 348 TB Zagato, is a perfect example. Just 10 were built, and this is the original prototype. It's in May. You should buy it.
Welcome toYou Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.
It was this exact car that Zagato exhibited at the Geneva International Motor Show in 1991, sporting a bunch of body mods to differentiate it from the standard 348 of the time. Among the upgrades are wider air intakes, a new rear fascia, a glass engine cover, and a new front bumper with insect-like lights, tiny microphone-like grilles, and an offset intake. Also added was Zagato's signature "double-bubble" roof design, as well as a set of black five-spoke wheels.
In addition to being the original prototype, this example has had just one owner since new, and has covered just 19,500 kilometers (12,117 miles). The original owner's manual and factory toolkit are included with the sale.
The car will in Lake Como, Italy on May 25th, 2019. There's no sale price estimate listed, and since this car is so rare, there's no telling how much it'll end up going for. Even if this car isn't super well-known, it's still extremely rare, and rare Ferraris generally command top dollar.
