Listen to the V-8 Shriek of Tyrell's Six-Wheeled F1 Car

It sounds just as outrageous as it looks.

The Tyrell P34 is most famous for its unusual six-wheel layout, where there are four front tires turning the car instead of just two. What people seem to forget is just how good the car sounds.

Like much of the F1 cars from the era, the 1977 P34 used a version of the Ford-Cosworth DFV engine. It's a 90-degree V-8 making over 400 horsepower, with a redline of nearly 10,000 RPM. Somehow, the noise is able to live up to the Tyrell's unique looks.
