It's not that big of a deal, really, but we have a disagreement on the staff with regard to navigation systems. It seems that some of us (mostly the "techies") make a habit of always setting a car's nav screen to the "north-up" mode. With paper maps, I fully understand that north should always be up. But in a traveling car, I find it much more informative to have the map set with the cursor pointed up, in the direction of travel. I like to see the streets I will be encountering without having to make the "flop" in my head. What's your preference?
