Great news: There's a new BMW M3 coming soon. Testing is well underway, which means spy videos are starting to pop up on the internet. This one is our best look yet at the G80-generation 2020 car, complete with closeups of the body and plenty of exhaust noise.

Though it has yet to be confirmed, we're confident the new M3 will receive a version of the 503-horsepower twin-turbo S58 straight-six engine found in the new X3 M and X4 M. The real question, of course, is whether the new M3 will get a manual transmission option. The car in this video is an automatic, though we've heard reports BMW is working on a manual version. Head of development Klaus Fröhlich even promised us a stick shift in the next M4. We'll just have to wait and see if it becomes a reality. In the meantime, sit back and listen to the new car's growl.

And here's the car on the Nürburgring itself:
